As many as 250 participants from various regions took part in the Kapolda Cup II kickboxing and boxing championship held by the Central Java Regional Police to commemorate Heroes' Day which took place at The Park Mal, Semarang, November 15-16, 2025.

Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Dwi Subagyo, in Semarang, Friday evening, said that the Kapolda Cup II is a strategic tool for developing martial arts athletes in Central Java.

According to him, the participants did not only come from Central Java, but also from outside the province, such as Jakarta, West Java, and East Java.

"We want to find young athletes, little 'heroes' who can become accomplished national-level athletes," he said.

Through this championship, he hopes that the talents of young people can be channeled so that they do not fall into illegal activities, such as brawls.

"The participants are all young people. Some are athletes, some are amateurs, and some are just competing once. We're trying to train them to instill discipline. Our motto is educated, trained, and tested youth," he said.

The General Chairperson of Rambo Kickboxing 4294 Semarang, Didik Hartanto, explained that the Kapolda Cup II will feature various classes, from lightweight to heavyweight, weighing over 85 kilograms.
