Amid rising death toll, Gaza municipality warns of worsening humanitarian crisis with the onset of winter.

The ministry said in a daily statistical statement that hospitals in the sector received "7 martyrs, including one new one, 6 recovered bodies, and 5 injured people" during the past 24 hours.

The statement did not mention the circumstances of the Palestinian’s death and the injury of the other five, but previous statements by the Government Media Office in Gaza and the Hamas movement confirm that Israel committed dozens of violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, 2025.

According to the data, these violations include shelling and shooting at civilians while they are in areas located west of what is known as the "yellow line," while Israel admits to shooting at them on the pretext that they crossed the line.

The “yellow line” separates the areas where the occupation army is deployed, which are estimated at more than 50% of the area of the sector to the east, and the areas where Palestinians are allowed to move to the west.

According to the statement, in violation of the agreement, Israel has killed approximately 241 Palestinians and injured 619 others since October 11.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that there are a number of victims under the rubble of destroyed houses and in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them to rescue them.

Israel refuses to allow the entry of heavy machinery and equipment to lift tens of millions of tons of rubble to retrieve the bodies of Palestinians buried beneath it, while it is rushing to retrieve the bodies of its remaining prisoners in Gaza, as it has allowed the entry of limited equipment to accomplish the task.

According to the Government Media Office, Israel committed violations of the humanitarian protocol of the ceasefire agreement, including preventing the entry of "hundreds of heavy vehicles" to retrieve the bodies of Palestinians from under the rubble.

The office estimates that there are approximately 9,500 missing Palestinians, either buried under rubble or whose fate remains unknown.

 The humanitarian disaster worsened

In a related context, the Gaza Municipality warned on Sunday of the worsening of the major humanitarian disaster the city is experiencing with the start of the rainy season, in light of the widespread destruction inflicted on the infrastructure by the genocidal war.

The municipality said in a brief statement: "The city is experiencing a major disaster due to the destruction of infrastructure and displacement, which may worsen with the onset of winter." It explained that with the approach of the rainy season, "the fears of Palestinians in Gaza are multiplying due to the scale of the destruction that has affected the city and its infrastructure."

The Gaza Municipality confirmed that its teams are working "with all the resources at their disposal, despite the harsh conditions and limited capabilities, in order to mitigate the effects of the rains and protect the residents as much as possible."

During the two winter seasons of the two years of genocide, fierce winds and rainwater uprooted tens of thousands of tents of displaced people, also damaging their personal belongings after they became covered with mud.

In addition to the victims,two-year-long genocidal war waged by Israel with American support destroyed 90% of the civilian infrastructure in the sector, with initial losses reaching $70 billion.
