Banten recorded a proud achievement at the 2025 National Student Sports Week (Popnas) XVII winning 33 medals.
As of , Banten had won ten gold medals, seven silver medals, and sixteen bronze medals, moving up to fifth place in the standings.
"Hopefully, we can achieve even better results," said the Head of the Youth and Sports Agency of Banten Province, Ahmad Syaukani, in his statement in Serang City.
This achievement is inseparable from the consistent performance of young Banten athletes in the sports of swimming, weightlifting, taekwondo, and rock climbing.
Swimming contributed the most medals with six gold, two silver and four bronze.
Michelle Surjadi Fang, Eiffelyn Laodikia Rose, and Giovander Nayaka Surbakti performed brilliantly in the 2025 Popnas swimming pool.
