East Java dominated the gold medal tally in cycling with eight gold medals at the 17th National Student Sports Week and the 11th National Student Paralympic Week 2025.
According to the medal tally report on the Popnas 2025 website in Jakarta on Friday, East Java topped the list with eight gold medals, followed by DKI Jakarta with six gold medals, Central Java with four gold medals, and West Java with three gold medals.
The gold medals in cycling for East Java were presented by Achmad Abdila, Achmad Dhani, Melinda Aprilia from the mixed MTB XCR team number, and Mila Safa Fidela from the women's track elimination race number.
Then, Mumahad Firmandhika Alhamzah from the BMX racing - men's and BMX time trial - men's numbers, Achmad Abdila from the MTB XCO - men's number, Balqis Humairah Aji Khairunnisa from the Track Individual 250m - Women's number.
Athlete Melinda Aprilia also won gold in the women's MTB XCO event and Yustinus Darma Wirangga in the men's 1000m individual track event.
The athletes' gold medal haul lifted East Java to third place in the medal standings with a total of 34 gold, 41 silver, and 32 bronze medals.
