The General Chairman of the Indonesian Wushu Executive Board (PB WI) Airlangga Hartarto said that Indonesian Wushu is still trusted by the International Wushu Federation or IWUF to host international events.
"The (international) wushu federation is still giving Indonesian wushu the opportunity to hold international championships," Airlangga told reporters at the 2025 Indonesian Wushu National Working Meeting in Jakarta on Friday.
Airlangga acknowledged that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had recommended that all international sports federations refrain from holding sporting events in Indonesia.
This decision was the result of the Indonesian government's policy of canceling the visas of the Israeli contingent when they were about to participate in the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Jakarta.
Airlangga explained that so far, the International Wushu Federation still trusts Indonesian Wushu to hold international events.
