Indonesia prepares special strategy for IFCPF Asia Oceania Cup final

The Indonesian national football team for cerebral palsy has prepared a number of special strategies to face Iran in the final of the 2025 IFCPF Asia Oceania Cup at Sriwedari Stadium in Solo, Saturday (22/11) at 6:30 p.m. WIB.

Indonesia is aware of the significant challenges ahead, given that Iran is the reigning IFCPF World Cup 2024 champion and has performed impressively throughout the tournament.

Of the four matches that have been played, Iran won convincingly 6-1 over Malaysia, South Korea 7-0, Thailand 3-1, and Australia 4-0 in the semifinals.

"Iran has very strong ball control and mature technical skills due to their extensive experience in cerebral palsy football," said Indonesian team coach Yanuar Dhuma Ardhiyanto in an official statement in Jakarta on Friday.

To counter this dominance, Indonesia has prepared several strategies.

"We've prepared different strategies. There's plan A, plan B, and plan C. We'll be more organized in our defensive and offensive play. We'll also be marking key Iranian players like Moslem Mehrabian, who has a dangerous passing game," he said.
