Injuries and arrests in the West Bank, and the United Nations warns of a record level of settler attacks.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews treated a 14-year-old boy who was shot in the thigh by the Israeli army near the Grand Mosque in Jenin, while Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital announced that it had received another person with a gunshot wound to the left knee, whose condition was described as moderate.

Local sources confirmed that Israeli forces stormed the center of Jenin, deployed around the main roundabout, the Al-Sibbat neighborhood and Abu Bakr Street, opened fire on citizens, and forced shop owners to close their shops.

A Palestinian man was injured and bruised on Saturday after the Israeli occupation army assaulted him and his family members in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces raided the home of Osama Tarad Abu Aram in the town of Yatta, severely beating him and his family. The agency stated that Abu Aram sustained injuries and bruises and was subsequently transferred to Yatta Hospital for treatment; his condition was described as moderate.

In Bethlehem, on Saturday the occupation forces stormed the town of Doha and positioned themselves on the main street without making any arrests. They also stormed the town of Al-Khader, south of the city, and set up a military checkpoint in the bridge area along Aqaba Hasna, which caused disruption to the movement of citizens.

In northern Jerusalem, Israeli forces stormed the town of Kafr Aqab with several military vehicles that emerged from the Qalandiya checkpoint, amid heavy live fire and stun grenades. In the Ramallah governorate, Israeli forces also raided the town of Kobar and arrested Hamdan Abu al-Hajj and his son after storming their home. Raids were also carried out in the villages of Aboud and Shuqba, but no arrests were reported.

In a related incident, Israeli settlers set fire to a Palestinian home in the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank, on Saturday.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted unnamed local sources as saying that "a number of settlers stormed the outskirts of the village and set fire to the one-story home of citizen Basel al-Sheikh, causing parts of it to burn." It added that Israeli army forces "stormed the area surrounding the house and fired shots at residents who were present, but no injuries were reported."

This comes amid a new UN report revealing an unprecedented escalation in settler attacks in the West Bank. Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, said on Friday that settlers carried out 264 attacks on Palestinians during October, the highest monthly tally in nearly 20 years.

He added that settler attacks resulted in the martyrdom of Palestinians, causing serious damage to property and displacing more than 3,000 Palestinians, noting that United Nations data documents the martyrdom of 42 Palestinian children in the West Bank this year, which is equivalent to one in five Palestinian martyrs.

These developments come as part of a continuous escalation in the West Bank by the occupation army and settlers, since the outbreak of the Israeli war of extermination in Gaza on October 7, 2023, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 1,068 Palestinians, the injury of about 10,000 others, and the arrest of more than 20,000, including 1,600 children.

The two-year-long genocide in Gaza, which ended with a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 10, left approximately 69,000 dead and more than 170,000 wounded.
