Former MotoGP racer Jorge Lorenzo is backing Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi and the Marquez duo (Marc and Alex) to fight for the 2026 MotoGP world championship title.
The three-time MotoGP champion also included Pedro Acosta as one of the strong candidates for world champion.
"The two who surprised me the most this year were, firstly, Alex Marquez, but he already showed in pre-season that he was fast straight away with the GP24, and then at Montmelo and then at Bezzecchi," Lorenzo told Dazn on Monday.
"Who would have thought that Bezzecchi and Aprilia would adapt so well and win races like they have? These two riders have surprised me, and with Marc, and maybe with Pedro Acosta, they are the ones with the most promise for next year," Lorenzo added.
