According to Professor Bakhtiyarov, cervical cancer is a serious disease affecting the female reproductive system, but it is treatable if diagnosed early.

The professor points to the symptoms that should be noted and not ignored:

Abnormal vaginal discharge.

Bleeding between menstrual periods.

Feeling pain or discomfort during intercourse.

Losing weight without dieting or changing your lifestyle.

He emphasizes to girls and women that early detection of the disease increases the chances of living a long and happy life. He recommends consulting a doctor if you have any concerns about your health and undergoing further tests when needed. It is best to visit a gynecologist once a year and have the recommended examinations and tests performed, such as:

Cervical screening (cervical smear): This test detects cancerous cells at an early stage.

Colposcopy: The cervix is examined thoroughly using a special microscope.

Biopsy: This involves taking a small sample of tissue for more accurate analysis and diagnosis.

The professor points out that the main cause of cervical cancer is infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) , which is primarily transmitted through sexual contact. Therefore, vaccination against this virus is recommended to protect against the most dangerous cancer-causing strains, and the vaccine is particularly effective during adolescence.
