On the sidelines of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk stated: "In early November, work began on the construction of three out of nine schools in Kyrgyzstan where the Russian language will be taught."

Overchuk explained that students graduating from these schools will receive two diplomas, one in Kyrgyz and the other in Russian, opening up broader career opportunities for them. He added that Russia also donated 650,000 textbooks and educational materials in Russian to support the educational process in Kyrgyzstan.

The Russian official also revealed that an agreement had been signed to build a new campus for the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University, which will be modern and equipped with new buildings, and will accommodate up to 15,000 students.

It is reported that President Putin arrived in the capital Bishkek on Tuesday evening to hold talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov and to participate in the Collective Security Treaty Organization summit.
