The Indonesian Wushu Executive Board (PB WI) is targeting three gold medals from the 2025 Thailand SEA Games because the top events that contributed gold at the 2025 Cambodia SEA Games have been eliminated.
"We won six gold medals yesterday (at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games), but all of them were removed (not to be competed in the 2025 Thailand SEA Games), but we are still targeting at least three gold medals," said Airlangga Hartarto, Chairman of the Indonesian Wushu Association (PB WI), to reporters at the 2025 Indonesian Wushu National Working Meeting in Jakarta on Friday.
At the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games, wushu presented six gold medals out of 24 events competed through athletes Muhammad Daffa Golden (Men's Jiangshu+Qiangshu), Rosa Beatrice Malau (women's 45 kilo gram/kg sanda), Edgar Xavier Marvelo (men's Changquan).
Apart from that, Tharisa Dea Florentina (female 52 kg sand), Laksmana Pandu Pratama (men's 52 kg sand), and Bintang Reindra Naga Guitara (men's 56 kg sand).
Indonesia's six top numbers will not be contested at the 2025 SEA Games, which only features 15 numbers.
