Seven men's singles host to reach quarterfinals of Indonesia Challenge

The host nation's men's singles team showed dominance at the 2025 Indonesia International Challenge, with seven representatives securing their place in the quarterfinals after defeating their respective opponents at the Amongrogo Sports Hall in Yogyakarta on Thursday.

One of the surprises came from Richie Duta Richardo, who defeated fourth-seeded Kuo Kuan Lin of Taiwan in straight games, 21-17, 21-19. Richie displayed disciplined defense and capitalized on opportunities when his opponent let his guard down late in the second game.

"He's an attacking player, so I had to be smart about limiting his smashes. In the second game, I capitalized on moments when my opponent lost focus," Richie said in an official PBSI statement after the match.
