The Israeli occupation army announces the continuation of its offensive operations in the northern West Bank.

The Israeli army said in a statement that its forces are continuing their offensive activity in the northern West Bank, claiming that forces from the commando unit of the Paratroopers Brigade found explosive devices and weapons during operations in the city of Jenin.

He noted that his forces, in cooperation with the General Security Service (Shin Bet), are carrying out engineering work in the area, based on a decision by the commander of the Central Front to demolish buildings, claiming a "clear and necessary operational need," as part of ongoing operations in the northern West Bank.

The statement claimed that paratrooper and engineering forces, while inspecting buildings being prepared for demolition in the Jenin area, found an old laboratory for preparing explosive devices, ammunition, a number of devices, and other combat equipment.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army withdrew on Saturday evening from the Tubas governorate in the northern occupied West Bank, leaving behind dozens of wounded and detained Palestinians and destruction of infrastructure, following a military offensive that lasted 4 days.

Tubas Governor Ahmed Al-Asaad confirmed to Anadolu that the Israeli occupation army "withdrew from the city of Tubas, its towns, and the Al-Far'a camp" in the governorate, adding that "it withdrew from all parts of the governorate and evacuated the houses that it had turned into military barracks, and losses and damages are being monitored."

350 homes raided

He pointed to "the destruction of infrastructure at the entrances to the towns and villages of Tubas and the Al-Far’a camp by bulldozing them and bulldozing the water network in the village of Tamoun," adding that "the occupation army stormed about 350 Palestinian homes during its military operation and destroyed their contents."

He continued: “The number of detainees since the start of the operation has exceeded 200 Palestinians, most of whom have been released, and about 70 are still under arrest,” stressing that the total number of Palestinians injured as a result of the army’s attacks has exceeded 150, most of them as a result of being beaten

He explained that "among the injuries, 100 were transferred to the Turkish hospital in the city, including an elderly man aged 85, and two injured people from the town of Tamoun whose injuries were severe, in addition to an injury from a police dog bite in the Al-Fara’a camp."

He said that what was striking about this raid was the large-scale beatings that even targeted the elderly, without any reason or justification, "in an attempt to intimidate and frighten people," noting the use of Apache helicopters over three days, which "randomly bombed the Far'a camp and the town of Tamoun, including some buildings."

The Israeli occupation army and settlers continue their attacks and escalation in the West Bank since the start of the war of extermination on Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 1,085 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 11,000, and the arrest of more than 21,000 others.

The Israeli war of extermination in Gaza, which began on October 8, 2023 and lasted for two years, left more than 70,000 martyrs and about 171,000 wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, and massive destruction with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
