The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews transported to a hospital in Ramallah (central West Bank) a "live bullet wound to the knee" from an area adjacent to the separation wall in the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem.
The official Palestinian news agency reported that "the occupation forces chased a number of workers near the wall and opened fire on them, resulting in one of them being shot."
She said that the Israeli occupation army has killed 15 Palestinian workers since the beginning of this year, either by shooting them, during pursuits inside Israel, or by them falling from the wall.
Almost daily, Palestinians are injured near the separation wall surrounding Jerusalem and along the border between the West Bank and Israel, as Palestinian workers attempt to cross it in search of work inside Israel, which occupies their land.
Regarding the raids, the Voice of Palestine radio station (government-run) reported that the Israeli occupation army raided the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, the town of Kafr al-Labad in Tulkarm, the city of Nablus, and the al-Far’a camp, south of Tubas in the northern West Bank, late Sunday evening, noting the arrest of a young man in the al-Far’a camp.
In the central West Bank, the radio reported that settlers stormed the village of Beitin, northeast of Ramallah, and attacked Palestinian vehicles with stones northwest of the town of Beitunia, west of the city.
The army also stormed the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, and forced shop owners to close their shops, according to Wafa.
These developments come within the framework of escalating Israeli attacks in the occupied West Bank for more than two years, coinciding with the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip that began on October 8, 2023.
These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of more than 1,080 Palestinians, the injury of about 11,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,500 people, according to official Palestinian sources.
On October 10, a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect, ending an Israeli genocide that left more than 69,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 170,000 wounded.
