Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir stated that the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand in December will be an evaluation event for the promotion and relegation of sports branches (cabor) that are prioritized in the National Sports Grand Design (DBON)."This (2025 SEA Games) event must also be used as an evaluation (of sports). So if targets aren't met, we'll have promotions and relegations," said Erick Thohir at a press conference in Jakarta on Friday.
In DBON, there are 17 priority sports, namely athletics, archery, cycling, rowing, gymnastics, weightlifting, badminton, taekwondo, karate, wushu, rock climbing, shooting, pencak silat, swimming, football, basketball, and volleyball.
