Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, Thohir, is collaborating with Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita to promote distribution permit policies in developing the sports industry ecosystem."With this distribution permit, we will standardize it later from the Ministry of Industry, but this is our support for domestic industries and foreign investors who build factories in Indonesia," said Erick Thohir following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Jakarta on Tuesday.
This collaboration is part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' efforts to develop the sports industry in Indonesia and strengthen the national sports industry ecosystem to make it more independent, sustainable, and competitive in both domestic and global markets.
This is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directive, which calls for targeted cooperation in the sports industry.
"We agree that the sports industry is one of the things we must push forward," he said.
The Minister of Youth and Sports hopes that the development of a well-developed sports industry will impact the welfare of athletes and coaches and can lead to higher sporting achievements in Indonesia.
