The Super 300 title is a stepping stone to Dejan/Bernadine's performance improvement.
Indonesian mixed doubles pair Dejan Ferdinansyah and Bernadine Anindya Wardani said their victory at the BWF World Tour Super 300 Syed Modi International 2025 was a significant boost in their quest to continuously improve their performance.

Dejan and Bernadine put in a brilliant performance to defeat seventh-seeded Thai pair Pakkapon Teeraratsakul and Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-19, 21-16 in the final in Lucknow on Sunday. The victory earned the pair their first Super 300 title this year.

"Thank God, I've won again here. After winning the Super 100, this time I've moved up to the Super 300," said Dejan in his official statement.

He said focus was the key to their success throughout the tournament week. "The key this week was just to focus on the matches, focusing on each match , and thank God, it went well," he said.

Dejan also stated that Bernadine's progress has been rapid over the past four to five months. He believes this improvement is crucial for preparing for the next tournament.

"So far, she's starting to improve, and Bernadine's individual skills are also improving. She's starting to understand how to play and how to focus. In the past four or five months, she's learned quickly, and this is a valuable asset for us," he said.

However, Dejan emphasized that there are still many aspects that need to be improved so that their performance becomes more stable at the top level.

"We still have a lot to evaluate. Our defense isn't tight enough, and we still have a lot of work to do in terms of our playing style. Hopefully, this will continue and we'll improve in the future," he added.

The victory in Lucknow boosted the pair's confidence to compete in BWF World Tour tournaments in the remainder of the season and the coming year.

According to the official BWF website, Dejan/Bernadine are now registered for the Super 100 Guwahati Masters 2025 tournament in Guwahati, India, from December 2-7.

In the first round, they are scheduled to face the host's representatives Mohit Jaglan/Lakshita Jaglan.
