PSIM Yogyakarta coach Jean-Paul van Gastel admitted that he would be wiser in selecting his players in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League after seeing the abilities of those who rarely played in a closed trial against PSBS Biak at the Yogyakarta Independent School (YIS) Field, Sleman, Friday.
This match was specifically designed by the coaching team to provide playing opportunities for players who have had limited regular appearances, while also equalizing playing time and maintaining the fitness of the entire squad.
