The World Boxing Council (WBC) announced a boxing match between women's minimumweight world champion (47.6 kg) Yokasta Valle and Yadira Bustillos to defend their title at the Kaseya Center, Miami, United States, on December 19.
"This fight is part of a calendar that has allowed Valle to become a recurring figure in Latin American women's boxing," the WBC said in a statement on its official website, which was monitored in Jakarta on Saturday.
Valle, one of the most active figures in women's boxing, comes in with momentum from several title defenses and aims to solidify her position in the division.
The Nicaraguan-born Costa Rican boxer enters the ring with a wealth of experience, reflected in a record of 33 wins, 10 by knockout (KO) and three losses.
The boxer, who also works as a model, will face a test to defend his championship title against the American boxer of Mexican descent, Bustillos.
