AETI Chairman believes the AETI Aquabike Cup can boost the regional economy
The Chairman of the Indonesian Tin Exporters Association (AETI), Harwendro Adityo, believes that the AETI Aquabike Indonesian Championship Season 2025 Final Round, titled Gempita Belitong, has great potential to boost regional economic growth.

"Because the location is a special economic tourism zone, the government is of course actively involved in supporting tourism potential, one of which is through jet skiing," he said in Jakarta on Monday, during a press conference in preparation for the event, which will be held at the Tanjung Tinggi Geosite, Belitung UNESCO Global Geopark, Bangka Belitung, from December 5-7.

According to him, jet skiing is a sport that is synonymous with tourism activities and has an entertainment appeal for the public and tourists, so AETI does not hesitate to fully support this positive activity in collaboration with the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI).

The presence of national and international scale water sports events is considered to be able to open up investment opportunities for producers and related industry players.

Harwendro said that supporting industries such as jet ski equipment providers, service providers, transportation providers, and accommodation providers have the potential to grow with the regular holding of the event.

He explained that economic activity in the region had begun to emerge since the preparation stage.

Logistical activities involving teams, racers, and organizers have generated Rp12 billion in funds. This figure is expected to increase throughout the three-day race, given the high mobility of tourism industry players, MSMEs, and local communities.
