Arema FC Assistant Coach Andre Caldas stated that the coaching team will immediately make improvements to the players' performance after only being able to achieve a draw against Madura United at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency.
Andre, during the press conference after the match at Kanjuruhan Stadium, said that one aspect that was highlighted was the ability of Arema FC players to anticipate the opponent's corner kick scheme.
"They (Madura United) scored from a corner kick, we have to fix that," said Andre.
The evaluation aims to improve the effectiveness of players in repelling every opportunity presented by the opponent through corner kicks.
If this can be fixed and run optimally, he is confident that in the next match against Persita Arema FC he can get three points.
However, Andre stated that overall Arkhan Fikri and his friends had played a good game, such as when they lost the ball, all the players immediately put pressure on their opponents.
Then, maintaining a balance between the transition from attack to defense by maximizing the role of the anchor midfielder duo Matheus Blade and Jayus Hariono to support Arkhan Fikri's creativity.
As a result, Arema FC was able to take the lead first through Iksan Lestaluhu in the 37th minute.
Even when they were 2-1 down, Arema FC players were able to play calmly and control the midfield better, thus creating many opportunities.
"We kept trying and finally Iksan was able to score again," he said.
Meanwhile, Arema FC player Iksan Lestaluhu stated that all the players regretted the final result of the match, because the opportunity to win the match was in sight.
Moreover, Arema FC has also never won in the last four matches.
"All the players have worked hard, we certainly don't want to draw at home," said Iksan.
On that occasion, Iksan expressed his happiness because he was able to contribute two goals that saved Arema FC from defeat.
"I dedicate this goal to my parents," he said.
