The NBA website, Tuesday, stated that during the match at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, United States, the guard recorded a total of 27 points.
Garnett's record of 26,071 points was broken when Curry hit a three-pointer in the fourth quarter.
He also appeared efficient by making eight of 15 total shots, including five three-pointers on 12 attempts.
