Digital infrastructure determines the safety of citizens during disasters

  Minister of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) Meutya Hafid emphasized that the resilience of digital infrastructure is a crucial factor in disaster management, particularly to ensure the safety of citizens and the speed of government response when physical access is disrupted.

"This disaster reminds us all that connectivity and information are fundamental needs. Digital infrastructure is the last line of defense when physical access is lost," Meutya said.

According to Meutya, digital infrastructure resilience must be a national priority amid the increasing risk of disasters due to climate change.
