"I'll put pressure on my opponent even when he's not hitting. So, it'll be interesting to see how he (Jake Paul) handles that kind of pressure," Anthony Joshua said, as reported by the Mirror in Jakarta on Monday.
Joshua and Paul finalized a deal in early November to meet in the middle of the ring and exchange punches towards the end of 2025. Their professional heavyweight bout will be eight three-minute rounds, with both fighters wearing 10-ounce gloves.
Paul hasn't fought since his dominant points victory over former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June, while Joshua was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in his last fight in September 2024.
Following the announcement of their controversial fight, the two stars met at the launch press conference in Miami. However, there was no drama, as the two appeared to be on good terms. Viewers were shocked by the staggering size difference as 'AJ' towered over his rival in a heated staring contest.
AJ said that sometimes fighters will make a silent agreement like not to hit each other but he insists he is not that kind of fighter.
