Gabon reluctant to return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with heads bowed

  Gabon national team coach Thierry Mouyouma emphasized that his squad is reluctant to return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with their heads down, ahead of their final Group F match against Ivory Coast, Thursday (1/1) early morning WIB.

"We still have one last match against Ivory Coast, the defending African Cup of Nations champions. We want to finish on a high," said Mouyouma, as quoted on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) website.

Gabon has been eliminated from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after failing to secure a single point from their two Group F matches.
