One person was killed and two others were injured in two airstrikes in southern Lebanon; the Israeli occupation claims the deceased belonged to Hezbollah.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a statement that "the two Israeli enemy raids today on a car and a motorcycle in the town of Yater, Bint Jbeil district, resulted, respectively, in the death of one martyr and the injury of two citizens."

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli occupation army announced that it had carried out an air strike in southern Lebanon targeting two people, claiming that they belonged to Hezbollah.

The army said in a post on the X platform that the targeting took place in the Yater area, claiming that the two individuals were carrying out what it described as "military activity" near the border, adding that the attack comes within the framework of "preventing the repositioning or restoration of military infrastructure" in southern Lebanon, without providing details regarding the identity of the targeted individuals or their fate.

The raids come at a time when Hebrew media have been talking since last week about the Israeli occupation army “completing” preparations for a plan to launch a “large-scale attack” against Hezbollah sites, in the event that the government and army in Lebanon fail to fulfill their pledge to disarm the party before the end of 2025.

On August 5, the Lebanese Cabinet approved restricting weapons, including those possessed by Hezbollah, to the state, and tasked the army with developing and implementing a plan before the end of 2025.

But Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem has said on more than one occasion that the party rejects this and demands the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from all Lebanese territory.

Israel killed more than 4,000 people and injured about 17,000 others during its aggression against Lebanon, which began in October 2023, before turning it into a full-scale war in September 2024.

It also violated the ceasefire agreement more than 4,500 times, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries, in addition to occupying 5 Lebanese hills that it seized in the last war, as well as other areas it has occupied for decades.
