Red Dead Redemption is now playable on iOS and Android devices The popular game

Red Dead Redemption was added to Netflix's game catalog on Tuesday (2/12), allowing fans to play it using iOS and Android devices.

According to a TechCrunch report on Tuesday (2/12), Netflix subscribers can now download the Red Dead Redemption game with mobile-friendly controls, including a shooting button and touchscreen-based navigation.

However, the game does not provide multiplayer mode and players need an internet connection to play it.

The Red Dead Redemption game was first released by Rockstar Games in 2010.

In the game, which is set in 1911, during the Wild West era in the United States, the player takes on the role of John Marston, a former criminal who is trying to find his kidnapped family.

The mobile version of the game also includes expansion content titled Undead Nightmare , which follows Marston facing a zombie outbreak.

The addition of Red Dead Redemption to Netflix Games is seen as a boost to the company's gaming strategy, which has previously faced challenges with less than one percent of subscribers utilizing its gaming features.

Netflix's investment in gaming began to show results in 2024, when its game downloads increased by 180 percent year-on-year.
