Liverpool legend and former captain Steven Gerrard has advised Mohamed Salah to immediately retract his controversial statement about Liverpool to prevent the situation from worsening.
Gerrard believes Salah needs to improve his relationship with manager Arne Slot for the sake of the team and the supporters.
"He's very disappointed not to play, and I respect that. However, the phrase 'thrown under the bus' is wrong. He should retract that statement," Gerrard said, as reported by TNT Sports.
Gerrard has asked Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk to play a key role as a mediator.
"I used to do things like this for the benefit of the club, the team, and the fans," he said.
Gerrard gave an example when he resolved a dispute between Luis Suarez and then-Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
