The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), through Anang Busra Air Base, Tarakan, has again demonstrated its commitment to supporting border residents by deploying aircraft after listening to the aspirations of the community in the Krayan area, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan, ahead of Christmas and New Year (Nataru).
"This activity is a follow-up to the efforts of Anang Busra Air Force Base together with the North Kalimantan Provincial Government and community leaders to directly facilitate the needs and hopes of the community ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays," said Anang Busra Air Force Base Commander, Air Marshal Andreas A. Dhewo in Tarakan, Wednesday.
This support is related to the smooth operation of air transportation to serve the increasing public mobility during this period.
Andreas said that limited land transportation access and Krayan's geographical location in a border area make air transportation support very vital.
Therefore, the Indonesian Air Force is present to ensure the smooth distribution of passengers and basic logistics needs so that community activities continue to run safely and smoothly.
"Through this activity, the Indonesian Air Force is present and listening to the aspirations of the community and providing real solutions, especially in supporting the mobility of passengers and goods ahead of Christmas and New Year at the border," said the Air Force Base Commander.
