The Indonesian chess team won silver and bronze
  The Indonesian chess team won additional silver and bronze medals in the men's and women's rapid doubles events at the 2025 SEA Games Thailand in a match held at The Bazaar Hotel, Bangkok, Friday.

The Indonesian chess team consisting of Medina Warda Aulia, Irine Kharisma Sukandar, and Dewi Ardhiani Anastasia Citra appeared in the women's rapid doubles event.

In the final, the Red and White team was forced to admit defeat to Vietnam after a draw. Indonesia earned a total of 0.5 points, compared to Vietnam's 1.5 points.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian team consisting of Mohamad Ervan, Novendra Priasmoro, and Susanto Megaranto was stopped in the semifinals by Malaysia

Indonesia collected 2.5 points, while Malaysia earned 3.5 points. This result earned Indonesia a bronze medal in the men's rapid doubles event.

The addition of silver and bronze medals means that Indonesia has now collected a total of seven medals in the chess event, consisting of one gold, two silver, and four bronze.

This achievement places Indonesia in third place, behind Thailand, which won five gold medals. Vietnam is in second place with two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals.
