Two martyrs as a result of the continued violations by the occupation army in Gaza and obstacles to the entry of basic needs.

The Israeli army admitted to killing two Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip, claiming they had crossed into the area it controls under the ceasefire agreement.

The army said in a statement: "Our combat team in the Carmeli Brigade (2) killed two Palestinians in two separate incidents in the northern Gaza Strip, who posed a direct threat," the same pretext that Tel Aviv repeats in most of its violations of the agreement.

Earlier on Monday, medical sources in Gaza City reported that a Palestinian was killed by gunfire from an Israeli quadcopter drone east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The targeted location is outside the area from which Israel withdrew, under the ceasefire agreement with Hamas

In the same context, a Palestinian woman was injured on Monday evening as a result of gunfire from Israeli drones targeting the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, in a new violation of the ceasefire.

Medical sources told Anadolu that a Palestinian woman was transferred to Al-Ma’madani Hospital in the center of Gaza City after being wounded by bullets from an Israeli “quadcopter” drone. The sources did not specify the nature of her injury or reveal her identity.

According to previous governmental, factional and human rights data, Israel committed dozens of violations of the ceasefire agreement, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of Palestinians, including children and women.

Basic needs

For its part, Hamas confirmed on Monday that the number of trucks that Israel allows into the Gaza Strip does not meet the minimum needs, and that most of them are designated for the commercial sector and carry supplementary materials that are not necessary in light of the existing humanitarian crisis.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement that "what enters the Gaza Strip in terms of trucks does not at all meet the minimum basic needs of the population," explaining that "most of the trucks that the occupation allows to enter are designated for the commercial sector and carry supplementary materials that are not considered necessary for citizens in light of the existing humanitarian catastrophe.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which has been in effect since October 10, stipulates that aid will be allowed into the Gaza Strip in the amount of 600 trucks per day.

However, Israel has not adhered to the agreement, and is only allowing the entry of 200 trucks per day at most, according to the government media office in Gaza.

Qassem stressed that what is required "is the entry of trucks carrying basic relief materials in large quantities commensurate with the size of the crisis experienced by more than two million people," explaining that "with the approach of winter and the harsh weather depressions, what is currently entering does not at all cover the shelter needs."

The movement's spokesman pointed out that "the facts on the ground confirm that the shelters and tents are unfit for human habitation and cannot withstand the harsh winter conditions," stressing that there is "an urgent need for a real change in the nature of what is allowed to enter Gaza, so that it serves the actualneeds of the people, especially in the winter."

Last Tuesday, a strong low-pressure system damaged more than 22,000 tents for displaced people in the Gaza Strip, causing losses estimated at about $3.5 million, after it flooded large areas of the camps and turned them into areas unfit for shelter, according to the Government Media Office.

In his statement, Qassem affirmed “the previous agreement in the relief and humanitarian protocol during the January truce to allow the entry of mobile homes (caravans), and this was reaffirmed in the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement,” calling on mediators and all concerned countries to “ take serious and urgent action to allow the entry of caravans and rescue civilians before the arrival of the coming weather depressions.”

He called for urgent international action "to prevent a repeat of the tragedy of previous years, when low-pressure systems caused major humanitarian disasters inside shelters."

It is noted that the Gaza Strip needs about 300,000 tents and prefabricated housing units to meet the most basic shelter needs of Palestinians, after Israel destroyed the infrastructure during two years of annihilation.

The United Nations estimates the cost of rebuilding Gaza at about $70 billion, as a result of the repercussions of two years of Israeli war of extermination with American support, which led to the martyrdom of more than 70,000 Palestinians and the injury of about 171,000.
