Venus Williams announces her marriage to Andrea Preti

Venus Williams announces her marriage to Andrea Preti  Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams announced her marriage to Andrea Preti in a social media post on Tuesday.

The couple married last weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, in a five-day celebration.

"We love each other. It was the happiest, most beautiful, and sweetest day," Williams said, as quoted by Vogue Weddings on Thursday.

Williams met Preti, a Danish actor and model, in 2024 at Milan Fashion Week. Neither had initially planned to attend the event.

Preti introduced herself to Williams at the event, and they immediately began messaging each other. Shortly after, Williams invited her to breakfast with her family in London. The couple got engaged last January.

Serena Williams posted a congratulatory message on Instagram to celebrate her sister's happy occasion.

At 45, Williams became the second-oldest female tennis player to win a singles match on the WTA Tour last July.

She is expected to play her 33rd consecutive season on the WTA Tour in 2026, starting with January's tournament in Auckland, where she received a wild card invitation.

In addition to her seven Grand Slam singles titles, Williams has also won 14 Grand Slam women's doubles titles with her sister. She also holds two Grand Slam mixed doubles titles.
