West Java Police Chief: Vehicle flow to Puncak reaches two thousand per hour
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) recorded that the volume of vehicles heading to the Puncak area, Bogor Regency, West Java, reached around 15 thousand units as of Friday (26/12) afternoon, with an average traffic flow of around two thousand vehicles per hour.

West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan said the increase in vehicle traffic had been observed since December 20, 2025, based on monitoring results by police officers at the Gadog Police Post.

"As of noon today, the number of vehicles entering the Puncak area has reached around 15,000, with an average movement of approximately two thousand vehicles per hour," said Rudi while reviewing the traffic situation at the Gadog Police Post, Friday afternoon.

He explained that traffic congestion was dominated by vehicles from the direction and a number of other areas, both tourists who were just visiting and those who were staying overnight in the Puncak area.

According to Rudi, the increased mobility of people during the year-end holidays is the main factor causing traffic congestion on this tourist route.
