Apple's new feature limits location tracking over cellular networks
Apple is introducing a new security feature on a number of iPhone and iPad models that can limit access by third parties, such as law enforcement, spies, and hackers, to users' precise location data through mobile operators.

Apple stated that enabling this feature will reduce the level of precision of location data shared by devices with carriers. This means that what's shared is no longer a specific address, but rather a general location, such as a neighborhood, which is considered to improve device owner privacy protection.

The company emphasized that enabling this feature does not affect the accuracy of the location data used by the app, nor the location information shared with emergency services when users make emergency calls.
