Aston Villa won dramatically 3-2 over RB Salzburg on matchday eight of the Europa League phase at Villa Park, London, Friday morning WIB.
Having trailed by two goals, the Villans rallied in the second half to seal a 3-2 victory.
This result ensures Villa finish second in the standings with 21 points, which also secures a direct ticket to the round of 16.
In contrast, Salzburg were eliminated from the competition after collecting only six points from eight matches, according to UEFA's website.
Villa pressed from the opening whistle. A quick chance came in the second minute, but Harvey Elliott's shot was straight at the Salzburg goalkeeper.
The visitors responded with a long-range effort from Sota Kitano that was saved by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Salzburg increased the intensity of their attacks and penetrated Villa's penalty box several times.
