Claiming to target Hezbollah and Hamas sites, the Israeli army bombed four towns in southern and eastern Lebanon.
These developments come amid Hebrew media reports that the Israeli occupation army has "completed" a plan to launch a "large-scale attack" against Hezbollah sites if the Lebanese government and army fail to fulfill their pledge to disarm the group before the end of 2025.

The occupying army launched 4 raids on Lebanese towns: Kfarhatta and Anan (south), Ain al-Tineh and Al-Manara (east).

Earlier on Monday, the Israeli army warned of the evacuation of areas in the four towns, claiming its intention to target "Hezbollah and Hamas infrastructure".

The targeted towns are located north of the Litani River, as Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced on December 20 that his government was ready to begin confiscating weapons in this area, after completing this task south of the river.

For its part, the Lebanese News Agency reported that the Israeli raid on the town of Al-Manara resulted in the complete destruction of a house and caused serious damage to surrounding homes, cars, and commercial establishments.

Without warning, the Israeli occupation army targeted the valley of the border town of Alma al-Shaab in the Tyre district, south of the Litani River in southern Lebanon, with artillery shells on Monday evening, according to the agency.

On August 5, 2025, the Lebanese government approved restricting weapons to the state, including Hezbollah's weapons, and in September of the same year welcomed a 5-stage plan developed by the army to implement its decision.

But Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem has repeatedly declared the party’s refusal to disarm, arguing that such a decision would weaken Lebanon in the face of Israel, and has called for the withdrawal of its army from Lebanese territory.

Israel killed more than 4,000 people and injured about 17,000 others during an aggression against Lebanon that began in October 2023 and turned into a full-scale war in September 2024.

On an almost daily basis, Israel violates a ceasefire agreement that began on November 27, 2024, under the pretext of targeting Hezbollah elements and weapons depots, which has killed hundreds of Lebanese. It also occupies 5 hills that it seized in the last war, in addition to other Lebanese areas that it has occupied for decades.
