Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria said the restoration of telecommunications networks following the flood and landslide disaster in Aceh Province has achieved significant results, with the recovery rate reaching 99 percent."We have now restored all disaster-affected areas in Aceh, and reports from the field indicate that the current telecommunications network uptime in Aceh is around 99 percent," Nezar said when met at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Thursday.
Telecommunications networks in the most affected areas have shown almost uniform recovery. Nezar stated that in Aceh Tamiang, the network has recovered by around 95 percent, Central Aceh has reached 96 percent, and Gayo Lues has recorded recovery above 90 percent.
According to him, the condition of the telecommunications network in Aceh continues to improve along with the restoration of electricity supply in the affected areas.
"So overall, in Aceh, the telecommunications network has improved along with the improvement in the electricity supply," said Nezar.
