Darren Fletcher will lead Manchester United in their next match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday (11/1).
United's interim manager confirmed that director of football Jason Wilcox and CEO Omar Berrada had asked him to lead the team in this weekend's FA Cup third-round tie.
"They (Wilcox and Berrada) have told me they want me to lead the team on Sunday. There's been a feeling since Monday that it could happen, but we want to focus on Burnley first," Fletcher was quoted as saying by The Athletic.
"But yes, I'm tasked with leading the team on Sunday, so all my focus and energy is now on that match," he continued.
