The Japanese national futsal team put on a strong performance in their opening Group C match of the 2026 Asian Futsal Cup, topping the standings with a perfect score.
The four-time Asian Futsal Cup champions were the only team to win in Group C, after they thrashed Australia 6-2 at the Indonesia.
Japan's six goals were scored by six different players, namely Motoishi Takehiro (5'), Yamanaka Shoto (6'), Uchida Shunta (10'), Harada Kokoro (18'), Yamada Kaito (30'), and Shimizu Kazuya (37').
