Intense Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon result in one death and widespread destruction of buildings.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that "an Israeli airstrike targeted a car in the city of Bint Jbeil, resulting in the death of a citizen," without providing further details.

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli occupation army launched more than 10 air raids on residential buildings in the village of Kfar Hatta in southern Lebanon, causing extensive damage, following an evacuation warning.

The Lebanese news agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out more than 10 raids on the area threatened with evacuation, describing the attack as a "belt of fire," which led to significant damage to buildings.

The Israeli occupation army had previously announced that it had launched attacks on "infrastructure" that it claimed belonged to "Hezbollah" in southern Lebanon, after issuing an evacuation warning to residents of a residential complex comprising about 10 buildings in the village of Kfar Hatta in the Sidon district.

The army said in a statement: "For the second time today (Sunday), the IDF is currently attacking Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in several areas in southern Lebanon."

Despite the ceasefire between the two sides coming into effect in late November 2024, Israel carries out daily attacks on Lebanon, especially in the south of the country.

Israel killed more than 4,000 people and injured about 17,000 others during its aggression against Lebanon, which began in October 2023, before turning it into a full-scale war in September 2024, which was halted by a ceasefire agreement.

It also violated the agreement more than 10,000 times, according to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries, in addition to continuing its occupation of 5 Lebanese hills that it seized in the last war, in addition to other areas that it has occupied for decades.
