Iqbal said Indonesia did nothing special when they beat South Korea.
Indonesian national futsal team captain Mochammad Iqbal Iskandar said his team did not do anything special when they beat South Korea 5-0 in the first match between the two teams in Group A of the 2026 Futsal Asian Cup at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, Tuesday.

"Yes, we definitely didn't do anything special. We just followed the coach's instructions, and thank God, everything went smoothly. This victory is for all of us," said Iqbal in the mixed zone of the Indonesia Arena on Tuesday.

Iqbal scored two goals early in the first half and early in the second. His first goal inspired Indonesia's second, scored by Rio Pangestu, while his second gave Garuda a three-goal lead before Israr Megantara and Reza Gunawan made it five.

"Yes, thank God, in my opinion, it's just a bonus. If it weren't for the team's collective efforts, I probably wouldn't have won it," he said of the best player award for his two goals.
This victory puts Indonesia at the top of Group A with three points, ahead on goal difference from Iraq, which beat Kyrgyzstan 4-2.
