Former Indonesian national team coach Jacksen F. Tiago directly monitored and developed young female soccer talent through the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Tangerang and Semarang Series 2 of the 2025–2026 season on January 13–18.
Jacksen, now the Head Coach of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge with Timo Scheunemann, revealed that the tournament for the 8, 10, and 12-year-old age groups is the initial path for developing female soccer players towards the professional level and even the national team.
"This age-group tournament is the first step in development. If we're talking about the future of the women's national team, the path starts here," Jacksen said in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
According to him, women's soccer development requires special attention, particularly from an athlete-to-athlete psychological perspective. However, through tiered and ongoing competition, women's soccer players' potential can be optimally developed.
"Men's cycles are different from women's. I think that's the biggest challenge. Women's moods are very unstable, so we have to understand that to be able to handle them," said Jacksen.
