Janice Tjen defeats Aldila Sutjiadi to reach Auckland semi-finals

  Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen defeated compatriot Aldila Sutjiadi in the doubles quarterfinals of the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, on Wednesday to reach the semifinals.

Janice, who partnered with American tennis player Caty McNally in the WTA 250 event, won over Aldila, who partnered with Japanese tennis player Makoto Ninomiya, via a supper tie-break.

Janice/Caty took the first set dominantly, but then faced resistance from fourth seeds Aldila/Makoto who came back in the second set to force a decider.
