Komdigi cuts off Grok access to protect the public
The government, through the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), has temporarily suspended access to the Grok application as a measure to protect women, children, and the entire community from the risk of spreading fake pornographic content generated using artificial intelligence ( AI ) technology.

The Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, in her official statement in Jakarta, Saturday (10/1), stated that the policy was taken as a form of state responsibility in maintaining a digital space that is safe, ethical, and respects human rights.

"The government views the practice of non-consensual sexual deepfakes as a serious violation of human rights, dignity, and the security of citizens in the digital space," said Meutya.
