Foreign midfielder Ramon Bueno revealed the reasons why he chose to join Persita Tangerang in the BRI Super League transfer window this mid-season.
Quoted from the club's official website, Thursday, Ramon said he did not need long to accept Persita Tangerang's offer because he wanted to return to playing in the highest caste of Indonesian football.
"One of the most important reasons I wanted to join Persita was because last season I experienced football in Indonesia. The atmosphere here is incredible, and when Persita offered me the opportunity, it didn't take me long to accept," said Ramon.
Ramon Bueno is no stranger to Indonesian football, having played for Persija Jakarta during the 2024/2025 season, which was then managed by current Persita Tangerang coach Carlos Pena.
While playing for Persija Jakarta, Ramon Bueno was a mainstay in the defensive midfield position, making 28 appearances in the 2024/2025 Indonesian League 1 season, providing one assist.
