Jannik Sinner continued his quest for a third consecutive Australian Open title by eliminating Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals on Wednesday to set up a semifinal clash with Novak Djokovic.
The two-time defending champion, unbeaten in Melbourne since 2023, cruised past the eighth seed 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to book her place in the quarterfinals.
"It's very difficult to play against Ben. He has a very, very strong serve and I feel like he's getting better and better every year," Sinner was quoted as saying by the ATP.
