The achievements of the 2025 ASEAN Para Games confirm the equality of Indonesian athletes.
Indonesian Contingent Chef de Mission (CdM) Prof. Reda Manthovani said that achievements at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games are not just about winning medals, but also serve as concrete evidence of equality for athletes with disabilities in demonstrating quality and competitiveness at the Southeast Asian level.

Under his leadership, the Red and White Contingent finished second in the final standings with a total of 392 medals, consisting of 135 gold, 143 silver, and 114 bronze. This achievement far exceeded the initial target of 82 gold, 77 silver, and 77 bronze medals.

"This achievement surpasses our stated target. It's proof that Indonesian athletes with disabilities possess the same quality, dedication, and competitiveness," said Reda Manthovani.

"They are not only fighting for medals, but also carrying an important message about equality in national development," said the man who also serves as the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office.

Several sports played a key role in Indonesia's medal tally. Para-athletics contributed 44 gold medals, surpassing the initial target of 25, followed by swimming with 29 gold medals, out of a target of eight.

Para-badminton also contributed significantly, winning 12 gold medals, exceeding the target of five gold medals, and placing Indonesia as the overall champion in this sport.
