The Russian company Kalashnikov announced that it will unveil models of new drones for the first time at the SimTEX 2026 exhibition, which will be held in Abu Dhabi between January 20 and 22

The company indicated that its pavilion at the exhibition will unveil the “Golyav 2.0” and “Karakurt 2.0” drones, which were designed for aerial surveillance and have received integrated technologies for exploring, monitoring and tracking both fixed and moving ground targets. They are also equipped with jam-protected and encrypted wireless communication technologies with the ability to reset frequencies, enabling them to operate under electronic jamming.

These drones have been equipped with a sophisticated suite of operator assistance systems, enabling them to independently detect and monitor targets, as well as operator alert systems in emergency situations. These systems are integrated with data exchange systems between the various branches of the armed forces, enabling the direct transfer of intelligence data to military command centers.

The Goliath 2.0 drone's high-resolution daytime optical-electronic reconnaissance unit is equipped with wide-angle and telephoto lenses, as well as a high-sensitivity thermal imaging camera mounted on a three-axis axis with a gyroscopic stabilization system. The drone is also equipped with systems for obstacle avoidance and warning of potential threats from other drones.

The Karakurt 2.0 drone is distinguished by its small size, which allows it to be easily carried in a soldier's backpack, and its electro-optical unit, equipped with a day camera and a thermal imaging camera, mounted on a two-axis axis with a gyroscopic stabilization system. The design of the quick-replaceable battery allows the combat crew to conduct reconnaissance operations almost continuously throughout the mission.

This aircraft is launched directly from a small, special container designed to protect it from moisture, dust, and mechanical damage. This design allows the operator to launch the aircraft in a matter of seconds, even while moving, running, or from inside a moving vehicle.
