This man was charged after hacking 570 Snapchat accounts of women in the US.
A man from Illinois, United States (US), has been charged with hacking nearly 600 Snapchat accounts belonging to women.

This case shocked many because it involved a large number of victims and used deception to gain trust, Gizchina reported on Friday (January 9). He allegedly stole private photos by posing as a Snapchat official and asking for account login codes from the victims.

Court documents show that Kyle Svara (26) used lies to obtain email addresses, phone numbers and Snapchat account names between May 2020 and February 2021. He messaged more than 4,500 people asking for access codes.

Using these codes, Svara managed to access approximately 570 accounts. Some of the stolen photos were then shared or sold online.
