Moroccan national team coach Walid Regragui expressed pride in his team's progress to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final after defeating Nigeria in the semifinals on penalties.
Quoted from the official CAF website, Thursday, Regragui explained that the success of his team cannot be separated from the support given by the supporters.
"I'm grateful to everyone who has supported us. We've received some very touching messages, and they've had a huge impact on us," Regragui said.
"I thank the players, very proud of them and I also thank the Moroccan fans who really deserve this achievement," he added.
In the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations semifinal match at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat, Wednesday local time, the match ended goalless after 120 minutes, so the winner had to be determined through a penalty shootout.
